Care & Maintenance

Take the stress out of owning an aquarium!

The presence of a fish tank can provide many benefits to any space. Providing beautiful lighting, conversation, and a sense of sophistication, they create a relaxing atmosphere in even the most stressful of environments! They are perfect for offices, waiting rooms, restaurants, clubs and make a truly unique and beautiful addition to any home!

For most people, the only negative aspect of having a fish tank is the constant up-keep and maintenance that they require!  If you don't know what you are doing, you can waste quite a bit of time and energy, not to mention the cost of new supplies, treatments, or fish and corals you may loose due to trial and error! The best way to avoid the hassles of aquarium ownership is to hire someone to maintain the tank for you!

Our Aquarium Service Steps

First, we visually inspect your fish tank. We observe the behavior of fish, corals, and invertebrates to evaluate overall health and function of the livestock. We take note if we find any signs of stress, malnutrition, or sickness. We feed the fish if requested and observe behavior. We take note of fish who do not feed as well as fish who are overly aggressive. Next, we assess how much algae growth there is along with what type of algae is growing within the tank. We then preform a PH test to find any chemical imbalances within the aquarium. We listen to the filter system and open the components to determine if a filter change or flush out is necessary. We inspect for signs of leaking water or salt deposits. We add chemicals and saltwater as needed. We inspect the lighting system and take note of timer settings. We remove algae in a safe manner from the glass, rocks, filters, and sand. We assess the electrical system. Finally, we wipe down the tank and report our findings to you!

Does Your Fish Tank Need Maintenance?

Fish aren't eating or swimming oddly
Fish appear to have strange spots

Algae build up on sand or glass
