Why it is a Collector's Vault fish: Also called the Japanese Angelfish, the Interruptus lives only in the northwest Pacific, around southern Japan, the Izu and Ogasawara Islands and the far northwestern Hawaiian Islands such as Midway. Wild fish have always been very rare in the trade. This is a tank-raised fish bred in Japan, so it arrives already accustomed to aquarium life and prepared foods. At up to about 6 inches it is the largest of the dwarf angelfish.
