We don't run a 28-day quarantine — and that's on purpose.

Long holds sound safer on paper, but in practice they work against the fish. Every extra week in a holding system means more time in a high-density environment, more stress, more time not eating well, and more chances to pick something up from the next box that comes through the door. A fish that sits for a month often comes out thinner and weaker than one that moved through a tight, well-run process.

We don't sit fish in medication any longer than needed. That's hard on them, and it doesn't make them healthier.

The bigger difference is what we treat for.

Most stores run copper only, or copper and prazi. That covers some things and misses others entirely.

We treat across the full range:

  • Ich
  • Velvet
  • Brooklynella
  • Bacterial infections
  • Flukes and black ich
  • The internal parasites most stores never address

We use medications from a trade-only source that isn't available to hobbyists or off the shelf at a fish store. Different medications, used correctly, for a defined course.

How every fish moves through our system

  1. Dipped on arrival — before anything enters our systems.
  2. Treated on a set protocol — a full therapeutic course, not a partial one.
  3. Sorted by species tolerance — sensitive species are never held in water that will hurt them.
  4. Observed and fed daily — we watch every fish eat.
  5. Released when it's ready — clean, eating, and stable. Not on an arbitrary calendar date.

Our systems run on a scheduled treatment cycle year-round, so the water a fish sits in is managed continuously rather than reset per-fish.

  • Covers livestock installed in a system we maintain.
  • Notify us within 24 hours with a photo, and retain the specimen.
  • Water parameters must be within the range we've established for your system.
  • Does not apply to loss from equipment failure, power outage, tankmate aggression, jumping, or changes made to the system without us.
  • Resolution is store credit or replacement, at our discretion.
