Oreni Tilefish (Hoplolatilus oreni)

Why it is a Collector's Vault fish: The Oreni Tilefish is so rare that it does not have a widely used common name. For years the only image of it was an illustration; the first photograph of a live fish was taken in 2018 at about 150 feet deep off Sodwana Bay, South Africa, extending its known range from the Red Sea down the east coast of Africa. Very few have ever entered the aquarium trade.
