This piece displays the vibrant color contrast and well-spaced polyps that make Acans a top-tier centerpiece coral for any LPS-focused reef. Each polyp acts as an individual feeding unit, making them rewarding to spot feed and easy to encourage growth on.
Place in low to medium lighting and low to medium flow. Spot feed once or twice a week with mysis, reef roids, or small pellets to maximize color saturation and polyp expansion. Acans extend sweeper tentacles at night — give at least 3-4 inches of clearance from neighboring corals.
