This is a premium aquacultured Candy Cane Coral colony (Caulastrea furcata) — a top-quality, bright, multi-head piece. Candy Cane Coral, also called Trumpet Coral, is one of the best LPS corals in the hobby for hobbyists at any experience level.
This colony has been aquacultured in stable captive conditions, making it hardier and better adapted to aquarium life than wild-collected pieces. It features fat, fully inflated heads with bright, saturated coloration. Candy Cane is a fast, reliable grower that will quickly multiply heads, making it an excellent value centerpiece coral.
Place on the sand bed or low rockwork under low to medium lighting and low to moderate flow. Spot feed once or twice a week with mysis, reef roids, or small pellets to accelerate head division and growth. Candy Cane is peaceful and reef safe. Maintain stable alkalinity (8-9 dKH), calcium (420-450 ppm), and magnesium (1350-1450 ppm).
