Cynarina, also known as Button Coral or Meat Coral, is a striking single-polyp LPS prized for its translucent fleshy tissue and dramatic inflation, sometimes doubling in size when fully extended.
This piece displays the rich coloration and healthy tissue inflation that make Cynarina such a desirable specimen for LPS-focused reefs. Their large translucent polyps look almost otherworldly under blue-heavy reef spectrum lighting.
Place in low lighting and very low flow — Cynarina prefers calm areas where it can fully inflate. Spot feed weekly with mysis, reef roids, or small chunks of seafood. They have a large central mouth and are aggressive feeders. Provide 4-6 inches of clearance from neighbors.
