This is a true WYSIWYG Hammer Coral (Euphyllia ancora) — the exact piece pictured is the frag you'll receive. Hammer Coral is one of the most popular Euphyllia in the hobby, named for the distinctive hammer or anchor-shaped tentacle tips that flow gracefully in reef current.
This piece displays healthy heads with full tentacle extension and saturated color expression. Hammer is an excellent LPS for hobbyists at any experience level — forgiving, fast growing, and a true centerpiece coral.
Place in low to medium lighting and gentle indirect flow. Spot feed once or twice a week with mysis, reef roids, or small pellets. Euphyllia extend long sweeper tentacles at night — provide at least 6 inches of clearance from non-Euphyllia neighbors. Hammer is fully reef compatible with Frogspawn and Torch corals.
