Acanthurus nigrofuscus, the brown surgeonfish, blackspot surgeonfish, brown tang, dusky surgeon, lavender tang or spot-cheeked surgeonfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Acanthuridae, which includes the surgeonfishes, unicornishes and tangs.
Tank requirements: A Lavender Tang (Acanthurus nigrofuscus) requires a minimum aquarium size of 90 to 125 gallons with ample open horizontal swimming space. They thrive in reef-compatible setups that include abundant live rock for grazing and moderate to strong water flow
