Ultra Red Blastos are one of the most coveted LPS color morphs in the hobby, displaying a deep, saturated blood-red coloration that intensifies under blue-heavy reef spectrum lighting.

This established large colony has been fully healed and observed for healthy tissue growth, with thick fleshy polyps and even coloration across the colony. Blastomussa wellsi is a peaceful, slow-to-medium growing LPS that adds a rich pop of red — one of the rarest natural colors in the reef hobby. Large established Blasto colonies of this caliber are rare in the trade compared to small 1-2 head frags.

Place on the sand bed or low rockwork under low lighting and low to gentle flow. Blastos prefer calm, shaded areas where they can fully extend their fleshy polyps. Spot feed once or twice a week with mysis, reef roids, or small pellets to maintain color saturation and growth. Provide 3-4 inches of clearance from neighbors — Blastos are mostly peaceful but have short sweeper tentacles.
