Adult Emperor Angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator)

Why it is a Collector's Vault fish: Most Emperor Angelfish in the trade are juveniles in their blue-and-white ringed pattern. A fully adult Emperor in its yellow-and-blue striped coloration is a different animal: the change takes years in the wild, and large adults are collected and shipped one at a time in oversized boxes, which adds significant freight cost. A healthy, eating adult is a true centerpiece fish.
