The Flame Fin Tomini Tang (Ctenochaetus tominiensis) is a stunning bristletooth tang prized for its compact size, peaceful temperament, and brilliant fin coloration. Smoky charcoal-to-tan body with electric yellow and orange flames lighting up the dorsal and anal fins — small in stature but huge in visual impact.
Bristletooth tangs are some of the best algae grazers in the reef hobby. They use specialized comb-like teeth to pick film algae and detritus off rocks, sand, and glass — actively cleaning your tank while looking incredible doing it. Less aggressive than larger tangs, the Tomini is one of the few that does well in smaller reef systems and mixes peacefully with most tankmates.
Reef-safe, beginner-friendly, and an excellent first tang for established 75-gallon and larger systems.
