This morph earned its name from its alien-like neon green polyp eyes that fluoresce intensely against a deep purple-blue encrusting tissue body. Under blue-heavy reef spectrum lighting, the contrast is otherworldly — the eyes literally glow like alien beacons scattered across the dark base tissue. The colony shown features over 80 visible polyp eyes distributed across the entire 10-inch surface, with healthy tissue and active polyp extension throughout.

Place in low to medium lighting and gentle indirect flow — chalices prefer shaded ledges and overhangs rather than direct high-light placement. Spot feed multiple times per week with reef roids, mysis, or fine pellets to maximize eye development and color saturation across the colony. Chalices are aggressive corals that extend sweeper tentacles at night — provide at least 6 inches of clearance from non-chalice neighbors in a colony of this size.
