The O2U Strawberry Sherbet Acropora is an Ocean To You exclusive named morph that you won't find anywhere else in the hobby. Each frag is cut to order from our 3-year aquacultured mother colony pictured, fully healed, mounted to a frag plug, and observed for tissue growth before shipping. Three years of consistent care, stable parameters, and reef-spectrum lighting have developed this colony into a proven, hardy aquacultured piece — far more reliable than wild-caught Acro imports.
The Strawberry Sherbet earned its name from its soft, dreamy color palette — a warm peachy-orange base tissue with pastel pink and cream highlights along the branches, accented by subtle teal-aqua polyp extension under blue-heavy reef spectrum lighting. The color combination is reminiscent of strawberry sherbet ice cream, giving the morph its sweet, distinctive identity. Each 3/4" to 1" frag will represent the mother colony's signature coloration and is hand-cut to order.
Recommended for first-time Acropora keepers. This is one of the few SPS species we genuinely recommend to clients ready to take their first step into Acropora keeping. The Strawberry Sherbet is a fast-growing, forgiving morph that establishes quickly and rewards proper care with rapid encrusting and branch development. It thrives in high flow — the stronger the alternating turbulent flow, the faster the growth and better the polyp extension. If you've been holding off on adding your first Acro to the reef, this is the piece to start with.
Place near the top of the aquascape under high PAR (300-500) and strong, alternating flow. Maintain stable alkalinity (8-9 dKH), calcium (420-450 ppm), magnesium (1350-1450 ppm), and ULNS-style low nutrients (NO3 1-5 ppm, PO4 0.03-0.08 ppm) for optimal color expression. Slowly acclimate to new lighting over 2-3 weeks to prevent bleaching.
At Ocean To You, every coral is hand-selected, dipped, and observed before sale.
